BEWDLEY INSTITUTE
- Sue Brown

bewdley cover

Birmingham born author Sue Brown visited Bewdley as a child and eventually came to live in the town. She currently lives close to the Bewdley Institute whose chequered history has fascinated her and led to the researching and writing of this book.

From 17th Century origins the book traces the Institute’s history and its use by the town’s population.

The book also contains details of the many Institute members who saw service in the Boer War and two World Wars and concludes with the Institute’s role in the mid twentieth century.
